Cool
Plant
Indian Blanket (Gaillardia spp.)
Annual or
short-lived perennial native to most of North America. Drought doesn't
bother our native Indian blanket. In full sun, the blooming season
starts in late May and continues well into fall. This plant is so
reliable that the DOT uses it as part of their wildflower program.
Reseeds nicely.

produce hundreds of different cultivars in various sizes and colors.
Although they do bloom, their main attraction is their bold and
colorful foliage.
