The fall webworm is the larval stage of a moth that protects itself in webs that can contain hundreds of caterpillars where they eat the tree's foliage. Japanese Anemone (Anemone x hybrida)
Perennial native to Asia. The Japanese anemone is a spreading plant that produces 2-inch open-faced flowers of white, lavender, or pink petals and yellow centers atop 3 foot stems. Flowers appear in the late summer to early fall. Easy to grow and deer resistant, this plant does very well in partial shade.
