Q: After I moved my Meyer lemon into my
greenhouse, I noticed several lemons on the floor with the peels neatly
removed. What critter would do this? Ernie W.
Q: My mother-in-law has seen a mysterious creature
several times on their property in Ringgold. She says he is huge: the

Hollies in the landscape
Hollies are some of the most commonly used shrubs in
landscapes. Particularly popular for foundation plantings, there are
numerous cultivars available that range from 3 feet to over 30 feet
tall. Hollies are plagued by very few problems and the red berries lend
a festive feel to the Holidays.

(Ilex vomitoria)
Evergreen
shrub native to the Southeastern U.S. The yaupon holly is a very
popular landscape shrub due to its adaptability, ease of growing and
for the number of cultivars available, including weeping and dwarf
plants. Berries are borne on female plants only. Male plants are
required for pollination.
