Maple- Roots
Q: I have a young maple and I’ve noticed some of the roots are showing aboveground. Should I cover them or just leave them alone?
A: You’ll do the tree a favor by covering the roots with a layer of pine bark mini-nuggets out to the ends of the branches. By doing so, the soil is kept cooler, weeds are discouraged and lawn mowers are kept at bay.
