I hate that invasive stuff… Aggravates my allergies… Privet (Ligustrum sp) http://tedmanzer.com/2013/03/05/asian-invader/ Most sites talk about chemical control, but I think a more effective route is to go after the roots with a mattock when the soil is moist… they usually dig out fairly easily… although… some of them get tree-sized… and digging those out can be a project, and then some… If I can get my truck near the bush… a chain works wonders, after severing the lateral roots. It’s said that the birds spread this stuff by eating the berries… and they only eat the berries after their preferred foods are gone… and then… there is even less of their preferred foods as these things crowd everything else out… Very sad story…
