Notes:
My husband’s grandmother loved this flower in the woods from northern Florida. Her husband dug part of it up and planted it at their home. It grows well and spreads easily. Suckers come up from the roots every spring. My father in law tookna cutting of it and it is now living in Pennsylvania and doing quite well. Handles the winters wel and the trimming that he gives it every year so it does go wild and spread everywhere. It is more of a bush than a tree. Any ideas what it is called? Thanks!

Could it be a gardenia? Does it have a wonderful, almost overpowering scent?
