Notes:

In third image I think there is a lespedeza of some kind I don’t know, a grass, and a yellow flower. I would like to know all three.

Thanks again Laura, I don’t need to retake pic of yellow flower. Linum medium var. texanum is a perfect match. I have others to submit. One is a prickly lettuce approaching 15 feet high. Looks like Jack’s bean stalk. God has blessed me with 40 acres devoted to animals & plants; and I am thankful.

You’re welcome whatweed! With your yellow flowers description, I wonder if this is a species of flax (Linum). Maybe the stiff yellow flax (Linum medium var. texanum). Check it out and see it is a match for yours. Lucky you! to have a gorgeous “field of gold” for your daily eyecandy. Best wishes!

Thanks, Laura I don’t remember what the flowers looked like on the lespedeza; but when they bloom, I’ll check. The poor images are my fault. I’ll resubmit later with better. The yellow flower plant has lancelate leaves that hug the stem. They spiral the stem. The flower is sulfur color. There are millions in my flower field.

Details are not so clear to be certain, so I am guessing only. 1- Need close up of the leaves to narrow down the flowers ID. 2- maybe silver bluestem (Bothriochloa saccharoides). 3- maybe slender lespedeza (Lespedeza virginica).
