Any thoughts on what this might be? Leaves look similar to edible dandelion found in farmers markets.

I’m thinking maybe a hypochaeris. There is a group of plants referred to as “tall dandelions” … I’m not finding them this morning, will keep looking.

Lobes are opposite on Dandelion and point to the rosette. Scratch dandelion. Rosette leaves of the Chicory plant are hairy on both surfaces. The top of these leaves look smooth. Scratch Chicory. I think Grizzly may have it. To look at the mature prickly lettuce I can’t imagine trying to eat it. So here ya go Grizzly a prickly lettuce salad to go with your next back country hiker.
