Hello! My family and I recently moved to GA from AZ. I’m excitedly working in the yard of our new home. There are a few pre-existing flowers beds. I have been pulling weeds, and I am particularly perplexed by the attached. Are they weeds, or what might they be? Thank you so much for your service, Jacqueline

Good idea to find out what you have… Can’t tell you how many stories I hear about tearing out entire plantings of desired whatevers. While weeding… I would caution you to pull only such plants as you can name… Better to leave weeds than pull flowers and veggies. Top plant looks like perennial sunflower. I can’t tell what the bottom pic is.
