Notes:
These plants popped up quickly after we disturbed the banks around our pond by digging them out more. I am trying to figure out if it is chamber bitter or bigpod sesbania. The app I used to identify is giving me both names. Thank you!

laura735 Master Identifier says:
According to sources, chamber bitter ( Phyllanthus urinaria) has basal branching, to my eyes those plants in the pictures above appear not to have this habit. Although I’m leaning toward perhaps species in the genus of Sesbania, with out flowers, fruits and with the leaves all folded up I’m unable to tell if this is bigpod Sesbania or one of its cousins. When these blooms please resubmit with photos of flowers & fruits. And if you have closeup pictures of young seedlings that still have the attached cotyledon (first set of leaves), we might be able to narrow the genus for you. Best wishes!
