These leaves look smooth and not hairy in texture which is often the case with the nightshade plants.

The bloom almost looks like a cross between a Justicia plant and a hop hornbeam tree. What can you tell us about this plant? A tree? shrub? AN annual? It doesn’t look like any kind of nightshade to me.
