This looks like an amaranth – like red root pigweed, but the tiny white flowers are unlike pig weed. What could it be?

Wood Nettle, (Laportea canadensis) which has alternate leaves is not to be confused with Stinging Nettle ( Urtica dioica), which has narrower leaves oppositely attached. Now to make it confusing….. they both sting.

Looks like urtica… Itch weed. Some people grow it for arthritis, others grow it for a potherb. People are always searching for a start to add to their gardens, so… If you decide that you don’t want it… It should be easy to find a home for it….
