Notes:
these WERE GROWING ON GRANITE IN A MOSSY AREA. wHEN i WENT BACK TO TAKE A PHOTO A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER, DEER HAD APPEARED TO HAVE EATEN THE TOPS OFF, BUT i FOUND THIS ONE ON THE GROUND. tHE STEMS WERE QUITE HARDY AND FIBROUS.
