Stone is absolutely right. It is Passionflower (passiflora). My mother had the same variety as you. The ones I have are all purple, and seem to be more common than the white where I live. And yes, expect caterpillars and butterflies! Beautiful vine!

Compare with passiflora…. Passionflower. So named because some missionaries thought they could see referents to the passion of Christ in the bloom. Expect caterpillars on the vine, as passionflower is host to a number of fritillaries and the Florida zebra longwing. http://www2.stetson.edu/~pmay/woodruff/passiflora.htm
