I live in Atlanta, Georgia suburbs. I have a huge area in my backyard that has small pine trees, lot of bushes and weeds. Its mainly filled with a particular type of bush. Its a thorny bush and 60% of the area is filled with this kind of bushes. It has a very strong and long roots. Root crawl few feets and multiple bushes come from the same root.

Really looks like blackberry. They come up in my (semi-wild)backyard in the part-shade all the time. Ate a berry once!
