Notes:
this plant has oily leaves and a wonderful complicated scent. It is more than 6 feet tall, and has tiny flower buds on it right now. We have no idea what it is.

Maybe a species of Artemisia, a large genus that include wormwood, sagebrush and mugwort. The species Artemisia annua (sweet Annie/sweet worm wood) leaves are very aromatic. Check it out and see if you have a match. Best wishes! https://www.google.com/search?q=sweet+annie+plant&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj3g4iF5qPPAhWM4SYKHQVVBb4QiR4ItAE&biw=2144&bih=978&dpr=0.9
