Starting growing around early September. Never saw any blooms. Can it be identified?

Too bad we can’t see closeup of the main trunk/stem to tell more. To my eyes this plant appears to be some type of hardwood sapling? I’m taking a guess for now. Maybe black cherry (Prunus serotina)? If this is black cherry, according to sources it can flower early as 3 years or longer. Flowers are needed for a confirmed ID. Check out the included link below for more information. Best wishes!
