Notes:
This is an understory tree in our wooded yard. The white balls of flowers at the top attract a lot of bees. The leaves are green with yellow coloration too. Around this specimen are a few smaller versions.

Thanks! After looking it up, I would totally agree with that. Leaves, blooms, bloom time etc. are perfect. The only thing that is ‘off’ is that it doesn’t have a prickly trunk; it is pretty smooth. Either this is a variation or it is very young possibly? It is about 18 ft. tall.
