Notes:
Plant grows from basal area, “branches” only grow up, never seems to make buds or flowers. 18″ to 24″ tall. Rich green.

With out flowers I could only guess, this is either hairy fleabane ( Erigeron bonariensis syn.Conyza bonariensis) or Canadian horseweed (Erigeron canadensis syn. Conyza canadensis)?
