Notes:

this weed keeps showing up in my lawn. I pull them up but it doesn’t get the entire root and they keep coming back. This is from south western ontario. 1 hr from the us border.

    The stems/starks are not to clear, I could only speculate that these might be something in the Fallopia genus, and they look suspiciously similar to the dreaded Japanese knotweed (Fallopia japonica) (?). Check it out and see if you have a match. The link below with more information and how to identify F. japonica.
