Sometimes you just want someone to come over and suggest ways you could be a better gardener. You want someone to identify plants and give you ideas on other plants you could use.
That person is called a garden coach.
You may have a neighbor or friend who will do the advice-giving for free but there are also professional garden coaches who can be very helpful.
Local garden designers often double as garden coaches. You can find local experts by calling your local Extension office at (800) ASKUGA-1.
While you’re calling, ask the Extension office about becoming a Master Gardener. Their series of classes would help you “coach yourself”!
