Pineapple Guava – Identification
Q: Can you tell me what this plant is? My son says it bears plum-sized green fruit.
A: It’s a pineapple guava, Feijoa sellowiana. Collect the egg-sized fruit in autumn, cut it in half, then scoop out the pulp with a spoon. The flower is edible as well…it tastes like cinnamon.
