Raspberries – ‘Heritage’ and ‘Boyne’
Q: I am interested in raising raspberry’s. What do you think of the ‘Heritage’ and ‘Boyne’ varieties?
A: ‘Heritage’ and ‘Boyne’ are erect, rather than trailing, raspberries. They do best where it stays cool in summer. Upper north Georgia is a better growing location but you can try them if you like. ‘Dormanred’ trailing raspberry does well here but you’ll have to build a wire trellis on which to grow it. I’ve grown raspberries for several years and have been very pleased with the results.
