Notes:
I have been given this plant as a Christmas present and told that it can go out in the garden. The leabes are oval , about 4cm in length. leaves are dark green and glossy, new leabes are red.It has small red berries. Please identify and tell me the conditions in which it will flourish.

I believe Daisy has, as we say in the South USA, busted this thang wide open. I think wintergreen, gaultheria procumbens, would certainly fit the growth requirements for a nice compact Christmas plant gift. Earth to Walter, what think ye on the matter?
