Walter – I read and listen to you weekly. You are by far my overwhelming #1 source of garden/lawn “know how”. But I do have to take issue with your comment not to worry about a few grubs in the lawn. I have 6000 square feet of irrigated zeon zoysia in my front lawn that is my pride and joy (my wife describes my lawn affection in other terms not suitable for publication). Since early summer, I’ve been fighting a losing battle with armadillos who have really taken a toll on my lawn. Luckily it’s not destroyed, but is severely damaged. I can’t locate a professional willing to rid me of this scourge so I’ve tried self-applications of insecticides and powered castor oil, but the rascals are still here. So a few (or more) grubs can be very harmful to one’s lawn, as evidenced by the problems I’ve been having. Should I try a voodoo doll?
