It’s difficult with to narrow down with out flowers. And I’m wondering if this could be either the American persimmon (Diospyros virginiana) or black gum (Nyssa sylvatica) (?). The included link below with tips for how to identify them. Click on the Nyssa syvaltica link for its images. Although I’m leaning toward persimmon, not seeing in person I can’t really be sure.
