This foreign plant started growing in my pot along with my carnations. I have not pulled the plant out of curiosity to see what it could be. Any help appreciated. Columbus Georgia

Maybe a type of amaranth (Amaranthus). These leaves have white marking look similar to those of mat amaranth/procumbent pigweed (Amaranthus blitoides. Check it out and see if you have a match.
