Notes:
This plant grew last year in between my red bee blossom. Not sure what it is but it does die back in Winter and came back happily It is about 3.5 ft tall. It does not bloom. This is its 3rd year.

Without flowers I could only guess maybe a type of milkweed? To rule out or confirm this genus, break of a leaf and see if it exudes a milky substance. If this is milkweed, possible some of similar leaves looking species are swampmilkweed (Asclepias incarnata)) and tropical milkweed (A. curassavica). Again until these blooms, I’m purely speculating. Pleas give us an update when these flower. Thank you & best wishes! https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/all/asclepias-incarnata/
