Notes:
Two large independent clumps growing among daylilies, mint, bee balm, salvia, etc., in a garden that butts up against a heavy growth of wildflowers/weeds on the other side of the fence.

It looks like it, according to sources, the bruised leaves give out an anise aroma. You can give it a sniff test for confirmation. Link below with image of leaves and more information.
