Hi. Can someone ID this tree for me? It’s about 10 feet tall and has small, oblong, purple berries. Looks like it’s been pruned to it’s present shape. I’ve seen it in a lot of landscapes locally, I’ve just always wondered what it is.

Looks like Ligustrum japonicum ‘Recurvifolium’. it is Japanese privet, common names include Curled-Leaf Privet or Crinkled Leaf Japanese Privet.
