It’s kind are hard to tell since the leaves appear to have tangle up in a smilax vine (?). I’m assuming the plant in question is the one with a small trunk in the fore ground and wondering it could be a juvenile form of a species in the Magnolia genus (?). If this is magnolia, I can’t tell which species this is. Check out the included link below for M. virginia (sweet bay), click on images to enlarge. If this isn’t magnolia, make new post with closeup of leaves, branches & base of the plant. Best wishes! http://www.rnr.lsu.edu/plantid/species/sweetbay/sweetbay.htm
