Notes:

I found this beauty in Lilburn City Park this morning. It was at least 3 inches long and may have dropped out of a tulip poplar tree. I’ve searched the Web but so far I haven’t been able to identify it. Any ideas? Thanks!

That’s it! Thanks! I searched the Web, without success, trying to identify it. Since the color varies so much between instars, I probably saw pictures of it when it was a different color. The U. of Florida link on Walter’s page was very helpful. It’s a bad day when you don’t learn something new.

Terrific! Search my website for the word Caterpillar and scan through those pages. I think I have this identified somewhere. If you canÕt find it, please submit again in a couple of weeks when I am back from Croatia.
