Notes:

Pretty tree when in leaf. We want to save/move it. Questions- 1. What kind of tree? 2. Is the growth on the limbs a disease? Normal winter something? Just type of bark?

    This looks like Sweetgum bark to me. Young trees and new growth have this appearance.

    Too bad we don’t have the leaves to tell more. With the corky twigs I’m wonder if this might be a wing elm (Ulmus alata)? Check Walter’s web site below for wing elm and see if you have a match. When the leaves are appearing in spring and you still don’t know, please resubmit with photo of leaves. Best wishes!
