Notes:
I hope this photo is clear and lighted enough to identify this plant. This shrub is at a the home of a friend of mine and it about 6ft tall now and the boss wants it cut down to about 3-4 feet or so.

Hard to identify exactly, but could be eleagnus Anything that grows that densely and rapidly with strong shoots would have no problem being pruned
