Rumex acetosella, aka sheep sorrel, red sorrel, sour weed or field sorrel. although with the battles I’ve had with it, I sometimes refer to it as devil weed. It is a good indicator of acidic soil and is tough to erradicate due to its rhizomes. On the plus side it is edible. The leaves have a lemony, tangy or nicely tart flavor.
