It does appear to be a Saucer or Star Magnolia, if it blooms pink, it’s Saucer and really too close to the house as it eventually gets big. If white and in a “star” pattern, it will stay much smaller and would be OK with some pruning.

Ok… In that case…. compare with Japanese magnolia. There should be obvious flower buds…. Again… I’d hold off on pruning… These trees tend to bloom before leafing out, prune after petal drop.

Hello stone flower, it hasn’t had any flowers since we have been here,i assume the flower u were referring to is a faucet cover on the outdoor spickett that is white styrafone

Going by the flower… I would think magnolia like sweet bay, or maybe a Franklinia, or Gordonia. I wouldn’t be in any rush to cut it… Except to maybe prune a limb or two away from the siding…
