I got a little piece of it years ago, and it grew into this big beautiful plant. I think it is some kind of philodendron, but I would like to know specifically.

Too bad we can’t see the plant stem. Leaves & petioles look like Philodendron. I’m guessing maybe the lacey/tree philodenron species (Philodendron bipinnatifidum syn. Philodendron sellloum)? Flowers will help you closer to a specific species. Check out these included links for more information and flower of Philodendron bipinnatifidum. Click on images to enlarge. Best wishes!
