Notes:
This unusual tree seems to naturally coppice, and has both male and female on the same plant. It has been called the “monkey tree” by the owners for as long as they can remember. It does not appear to have self-seeded any others. The needles are quite stiff and are unpleasant to handle. When a lateral branch is rooted, it does not grow orthotropically, which makes for a very weird looking seedling. (I found this out the hard way). I am hoping for a leader to sprout from the ground eventuall
