Notes:
This plant was found here in Southern Oregon by a farm pond. There is just one plant. Leaves on lower part of stem are opposite, narrow oval. Leaves above the fork [where the seed pods are] are also opposite, but a different shape. Overall, the plant is about 16-18 inches tall when picked today. Seed “pods” are [currently] green, attached to the stem [not dangling] and each contains 3 black seeds.

This is Euphorbia Lathyris . Common name is Mole Plant use of repelling rodents. All parts of plant are poisonous.
