Notes:
My neighbor gave this plant to me asking me to make it “bloom”. It is about a foot tall right now and the leaves seem to be shiny in the early stages, but the oldest leaf seems to have lost its shine. The leaves don’t seem to be straight either, they are kind of curled up on the ends.
I thought it might be a form of anthurium, but I am not sure..not sure if there is anything that “blooms” here. If so, I would like to know when and how to take care of it. Thanks

Could it be a philodendron? Compare it with the pics here: http://www.plantoftheweek.org/week339.shtml
