    Cherry laurel (Prunus laurocerasus) has opposite leaves. To my eyes the plant above appears to have opposite leaves as to those of Gardenia. A closeup side view of stem/branch would help either to confirm or rule out my suggested ID.

    Maybe a cultivar in the Gardenia genus(?). If this is Gardenia, from this straight down angle it’s difficult to tell of its height, I can’t tell if this is the low growing cultivar ‘Radicans or the taller variety ‘Frostproof’.
