The plant initially had no flower/seed stalks, but grew them in the late summer. It’s grown quite large in the last 30 days.

It’s hard to tell without flowers. Also the leaves & stems are too far away to more. I’m wondering if this might be either Red-Osier Dogwood (Cornus stolonnifer) or black twinberry (Lonicera involucrata) (?). I”m leaning toward the black twinberry. Again I’m only guessing. Check it out and see if you have a match. When it blooms and you still don’t know, make new post with flowers photos. Click on images from the included link below to enlarge.
