Notes:
Pretty sure it is a weed because has popped up in several places in the garden. Now about 5 feet tall and still growing. Four vertical sections are coming off one stack about 12 inches above the ground. It is quite shallow rooted and easy to remove.

I think you are right and I’m not going to let it go to flower. It is too ugly and already have several clumps…don’t know how they got there because don’t see any in nearby yards. Thank you!
