Think I have figured it OUT. Its a Mallow-Hollyhock plant. Showed a stem to a guy at church today that’s “in the know” and this is what he told me without even having to think. He has them growing at his house as well. Thanks for everyones help.

Maybe a type of Eastern rosemallow aka swamp rose-mallow (Hibiscus moscheutos)? Check it out and see if you have a match. Best wishes! http://www.namethatplant.net/plantdetail.shtml?plant=686

I thought that because Rose of Sharon has a lot of volunteers and the leaves look similar. However, upon closer inspection, these could be wild blackberries or raspberries as well. Do the stalks have thorns? http://identifythatplant.com/blackberry-or-black-raspberry/

What makes you “think” this. I have researched Rose of Sharon pretty well, and nothing seems to match Just curious. ??????
