Notes:
Hello! We just moved into a new home with lots of mystery plants. This one has me stumped! It has a dark purple large stalk at the root and turns green as it goes up. Has little green, what look like future blooms potentially at the very top. I live in Indiana any help is much appreciated! Thank you! Sarah

maybe a species of Packera genus? Possible the cressleaf groundsel/butterweed (P. glabella)? Check it out and see if you have a match. When the flowers open and you still don’t know, please submit with photo of flowers. Best wishes! https://bygl.osu.edu/node/1023
