Notes:

This is growing in my garden. I think it’s ugly and we should pull it up. My wife’s waiting to see if it flowers. We’re in Sendai, Japan. Any idea what it is? Thanks.

    Thanks. I think you’re right. I’ve searched for more pictures of goosefoot and they look like what I’ve been seeing in my garden. We’ve had lots of these things growing but I’ve pulled all the others up. I think I’ll let this one grow – I don’t really want to cook these leaves, but I just read that the seeds are very healthy, so maybe I’ll see what I can do with those.

    The leaves look a little differently shaped from what I see in Georgia, but it appears to be goosefoot (Chenopodium album), or a closely related species. No pretty flowers, but goosefoot is an edible wild potherb, related to spinach.
