Unusual flower without petals. Light purple with hair like protrusions. Short jagged leaves. Found only this one plant in ten acre area and haven’t seen another in surrounding area.

    Maybe a species in the blue mistflower/hardy ageratum (Conoclinium). I’m guessing this could the species C. coelestinum syn. Eupatorium coelestinum (?). Check out the included for information & images, and see if you have a match. Best wishes!
