Cuba Trip 2012 – Transportation

When the US embargo began in 1960, it was like a door slammed shut on importing cars from other countries. Cuba had plenty of cars from before that time and it has lots of Russian Lada cars (imagine a tin box with four wheels and a tiny engine) plus a few imports from Asia. So Cubans have applied terrific skill to keep the old cars running, plus using anything with wheel to get themselves around.
