Does anybody know what this houseplant is and how to grow it?

   It is the Maranta leuconeura erythroneura, aka the Prayer Plant. It likes warmth and humidity and a bright location. Not too bright or the colors won’t be as intense. Its leaves tend to fold in like hands at prayer.

   It’s a maranta or Prayer Plant. Each leaf has an elbow which twists so that the leaf can follow the sun each day. It likes partial shade and moisture. Best in a shade garden in the summer, but indoors in cooler weather.
