Dehumidifier – Graywater
Q: I have a dehumidifier in my damp basement. I get 1.5 gallons of water a day from it normally. Is this considered graywater?
A: Technically it is not graywater; it is condensed water. As such, it is exempt from watering rules and is perfectly safe and legal to use anytime in your landscape. The same information applies to air conditioner condensate.
